Where the Water Meets the Sky is an atmospheric abstract exploring that quiet place where land, water and horizon begin to dissolve into one another.
Layers of softened blue, teal and muted neutrals are interrupted by delicate traces of blush and warm metallic tones, while areas of texture emerge and recede across the surface. The composition carries a sense of distance and stillness — suggestive of a landscape without defining a particular place.
Created intuitively through layers of mixed media, the painting invites the viewer to discover their own landscape within it; something remembered, imagined, or simply felt.
Framed in a pale wood tray frame, the natural finish complements the cooler palette and gives the work a quiet, contemporary presence.
An original one-of-a-kind artwork by Arlene Peters.
